Our core executive team consists of industry professionals with a diverse background and over 100 years of combined experience in business planning, corporate structure, capital formation, intellectual property protection, employee recruiting, employee leasing, employee benefits, sales, marketing, management service and investor relations.
Michael D. Metcalf
Chairman & Founder
Mr. Metcalf is a serial entrepreneur with 20 years experience and a proven track record of previous success. Mr. Metcalf formed Sound Management Services to act as a centralized management company for multiple businesses conceived and formed by him. Sound Management Services helped create, organize and fund Sound Advantage LLC with over $42 million in private equity. Sound Advantage was later merged with AVST, Inc. (www.avst.com) Mr. Metcalf wrote the initial business plan, filed the patents, recruited the senior management team, recruited 105 employees, managed all day to day operations including sales, marketing, software development, technical support and finance. Mr. Metcalf’s achievements include 24 industry awards including 4 product of the year awards. Mr. Metcalf has a unique ability to see opportunities and then organize the resources necessary to capitalize on the opportunity while the timing remains right. Mr. Metcalf also serves on the board of Safe Harbor (www.safeharbor.us) a Christian based international relief organization working in Darfur, Sudan.
Paul Laos
Chief Operations Officer
Mr. Laos is a 22 year telecom veteran having served in senior management positions at Windstar Communications and MCI Communications. Mr. Laos was previously responsible for over 2,000 employees responsible for network operations, customer support and billing. Mr. Laos began his career from the technical engineering side and later moved into senior management in technical operations and later into finance.
Tracy Roberts
Chief Marketing Officer
Ms. Roberts is a 25 year technology veteran having served in senior management positions at Alta Vista, Northern Telecom, Telecom Italia and Laquendo. Ms. Roberts has a long and distinguished track record beginning with product management, product development and user interface design. Ms. Roberts later moved into product marketing and later into senior management. Ms. Roberts is an expert technologist and internet marketing guru.
David Thomson
Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Thomson is a 27 year technology veteran having previously served as Chief Technology Officer for Lucent Speech Solutions. Mr. Thomson previously oversaw all large scale speech technology development at Bell Labs, the research arm of Lucent Technologies, Inc. Platforms built by Mr. Thomson has processed over 10 billion telephone calls using natural sounding speech technology. Mr. Thomson is an expert software engineer and research expert. Mr. Thomson was previously responsible for patent review and patent protection for Lucent.
Hung Duong
Chief Software Architect
Mr. Duong is a 24 year technology veteran having previously served in senior engineering and management positions at Hughes Aircraft, Excel and Sound Advantage. Mr. Duong was previously responsible for software architecture, code design and quality assurance. Mr. Duong has been building mission critical software applications for the aerospace and telecom industries for over 20 years.
Helen Metcalf
Treasurer / Office Manager
Mrs. Metcalf is a 19 year veteran of accounting, human resources and office management. Mrs. Metcalf is also the professional voice talent of Mandi (my automated natural dialog interface). Mrs. Metcalf is a serial entrepreneur having started, built and managed multiple businesses with Mr. Metcalf. Mrs. Metcalf oversees all accounting functions and manages outside accounting resources to ensure that all books and records are kept according to GAP. Mrs. Metcalf manages the day to day administrative staff and oversees all human resource issues and employee benefits as well. Mrs. Metcalf was previously the Secretary/Treasurer and Office Manager for Sound Advantage LLC during its formative years
Jon Prime
Sr. Software Engineer
Mr. Prime is a 21 year senior software development veteran having previously served multiple companies including Lucent and Sound Advantage. Mr. Prime has worked with Mr. Metcalf for over 10 years developing many of the award winning technologies previously discussed.
Curtis Steinhause

Mr. Steinhaus is a certified public accountant and a senior partner in www.aspenadvisory.com a wealth management and accounting services company. Mr. Steinhaus manages over 100 million dollars in assets and perform accountancy and consultancy services for over 300 companies. Mr. Steinhaus and his team of accountants perform a variety of tasks and have worked with Mr. Metcalf for over 10 years.
Matthew Browndorf
Attorney
Matthew C. Browndorf is the founding and managing member of Browndorf PEM, LLC, a private equity management company and pending registered investment advisor, with a focus on niche venture capital markets and distressed real estate markets. Mr. Browndorf also maintains a law practice in New York, New York, representing boutique clients in conjunction with Browndorf PEM. Prior to forming Browndorf PEM or practicing law on his own, Mr. Browndorf was an attorney in Manhattan, New York (most notably at Bryan Cave LLP and Buchanan Ingersoll PC), where he represented securities brokers and private clients in securities and white collar criminal litigation, including the notable People v. Kozlowski and Swartz litigation involving TYCO. Mr. Browndorf has also counseled clients on operating broker dealers, merger and acquisition consultancy, setting up reinsurance and insurance captives in the European and American markets and was involved in setting precedent law in the area of automobile franchise. Mr. Browndorf has represented fortune 500 companies including Valspar Industries, Gerling Global and Volkswagen of America. Mr. Browndorf has represented financial institutions such as Citigroup and Bank of New York. Mr. Browndorf graduated from Widener University School of Law as a scholar and with honors and authored several law review notes for the Widener Journal of Public Law. Mr. Browndorf attended undergraduate studies at Arizona States University, with an emphasis on forensic debate and rhetoric. Mr. Browndorf has also appeared in the National Law Journal, Legal Week, Legal IT, the Pennsylvania Law Journal and other publications and seminars throughout his practice. Mr. Browndorf is licensed as an attorney in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania and is pending as registered in-house counsel in California.
